> The Industry Revolution – Big Data, Smart Technology and Drones

Arizona School of Real Estate

On July 20th, 2018, I served as moderator to the Arizona School of Real Estate's "The Industry Revolution - Big Data, Smart Technology, Drones and More" Seminar. The seminar qualified for 3 hours of CE Credit through the Arizona Department of Real Estate and I was honored to serve as both the events Moderator as well as a Panelist on the topic of Big Data, Drones and Smart Technology.

Terese Cilluffo of V Digital Services gave an important overview on Google page ranking, SEO and how real estate agents can best optimize their company website pages for mobile use.

Laura Rogal, an attorney with Jaburg | Wilik Attorneys at Law provided key insights into website advertising, Fair Housing rules and how to protect proprietary information.

Jay Carpenter, with Desert Blockchain, and Chris Richardson, designated Broker at Tru Realty, LLC provided key information about exchanging money, actual real estate transactions involving Bitcoin and how cryptocurrency will become commonplace in future real estate transactions.

In the second block, Chris Richardson and myself spent an hour talking "Big Data", how it's disrupting the marketplace, and what people should expect to see in the coming years. Given its impact on everything from retail foot traffic, traffic control on major thoroughfares to its impact on how decisions are made where and when to build, it's clear Big Data is changing the face of the industry.

The final block wrapped up discussing drone technology. I, along with Gregg Kafka with Lee & Associates and Matt Peterson with Lister Assister rounded out the last panel group.

The audience came prepared.  They asked excellent questions and there was plenty of exchange back and forth between the audience and panel, and the panelists with one another. All in all, an enjoyable day of education and learning, with everyone walking away with a better understanding of how the industry is changing, and how to capitalize on coming trends.
